Aroma: porridge with honey. Lemon drizzle cake and peach pastries with tinned pears and white flowers. A touch of coconut cream and caramel.
Taste: Barley sugar and oily malt with a lot more peach, caramel chocolate and toffee apple with a hint of vanilla oak.
Finish: pear and apple crumble with persistent apricot.
Bere barley is an ancient grain that is almost forgotten. For this whisky it was specially grown on the Orkney Isles.
