Aroma: Oak wood, pear skin, golden syrup and malt. A touch of peach and chewy, sticky toffee. When chilled it is fruity, more green apple, apple sauce, toffee apple, sultana, even redcurrant.
Taste: Very honeyed with warming pepper spices and lots of cinnamon. When chilled, the honey is kept much more in check, as are the spices. Lots of apple flesh and orange peel.
Finish: Allspice, nutmeg and smoked malt. The finish from the freezer is more about the spicy heat of cinnamon and peppercorn, which can be found on the palate at room temperature.
